       During the processing of injection molds, various kinds of CNC machining are available. The most widely used are CNC milling and machining centers. The applications of CNC wire cutting and CNC EDM in mold NC machining are also very common. Wire cutting is mainly used in various applications. A kind of straight wall mold processing, such as punching and embossing mold, inserts in the injection mold, slider, electrode for EDM and so on. For mold parts with high hardness, machining methods cannot be used to process them, most of them use EDM, and EDM is also used for sharp corners, deep cavity parts, and narrow grooves of mold cavities. The CNC lathes are mainly used for machining standard parts of mold rods, and mold cavities or cores of rotary bodies, such as injection molds for bottles and pots, and forging molds for shafts and discs. In the mold processing, the application of CNC drilling can also play a role in improving the processing accuracy and shorten the processing cycle.

       Extensive use of molds, the formation of products in the modern manufacturing process, almost all need to use the mold to complete. Therefore, the mold industry is an important part of the national high-tech industry and an important and valuable technical resource. Optimize the structural design of the mold system and the CAD/CAE/CAM of the parts, and make it more intelligent, improve the molding process technology of molds and standardization of molds, improve the precision and quality of mold manufacturing, and reduce the amount of surface grinding and polishing of mold parts. And manufacturing cycle; Research and application of high-performance, easy-to-cut special materials for various types of mold parts to improve mold performance; To adapt to market diversification and new product trial production, application of rapid prototyping technology and rapid system Mold technology, rapid manufacturing molding die, plastic injection mold or die casting mold, etc., should be the development trend of the mold production technology in the next 5 to 20 years.
